What is UTFCast
UTFCast is a Unicode converter that lets you batch convert all text files to
UTF encodings with
just a click of your mouse. You can use it to convert a directory full of text
files to UTF encodings including UTF-8, UTF-16 and UTF-32 to an output directory, while maintaining the directory structure of the
original files. It doesn't even matter if your text file has a different
extension, UTFCast can automatically detect text files and convert them.
UTFCast lets you:
- Extend your application to an international audience.
- Convert text files of unlimited size to Unicode in seconds.
- Preserve the original directory structure of your text files.
- Automatically detect and convert text files.
The Professional Edition
With only a few mouse clicks, you can unify various codepages in a directory
and extend them to one of the commonly used Unicode standard. You can mix up
your directory with ANSI text files, Windows-1251 text files, Shift-JIS text
files and even binary files; UTFCast Professional will automatically pick them
up and convert them to UTF-8, UTF-16 or UTF-32 in batch mode.
The UTFCast Professional edition leverages the advanced UTFCast technology to
recognize binary files and over 30 codepages. Its advanced codepage streaming
engine provides the ability to handle extra-large sized text files and convert
over 40 megabytes of text per second with full support for multiple-core CPUs.
The Express Edition
The UTFCast Express edition is a UTF-8 converter built with the
basic UTFCast technology. It can automatically pick up ASCII and UTF-16 text
files and convert them to UTF-8 encoding. You only need to select a
source folder and a target folder, your files will then be converted and
arranged as the same as the source folder.
